Complete each step below to earn your Ambassador Safety Award. Make sure to ask your parent/guardian for permission before using any materials, going outside, or going online.
Step One
Organize a Forum
Pick a safety topic that is important to you and organize a forum to discuss the issue with your family, friends, and/or troop members. Try hosting the forum virtually - check out GSGI’s resources surrounding virtual troop meetings and what platforms you can use!
Step Two
Teach Internet Safety
Teach younger Girl Scouts about internet safety. Create a video, poster, or think of your own creative way to teach younger kids what to do. Check out the safety tips activity below to get started!
Step Three
Learn How to Lead Safely
Observe those in leadership positions around you. What qualities do they have to keep others safe? Discuss with your family or friends on what makes a good leader. Take the “I am a leader” quiz to discover your strengths that make you a great leader!
Step Four
Stay Safe While Dating
Discover safety tips to help you stay safe while you venture into the world of dating. Talk to a counselor, social worker, or staff at a women’s shelter to learn more about how to stay safe. Create your own Safety Plan to help you stay safe while dating.
Step Five
Outdoor Safety
Pick an outdoor activity that you enjoy - learn the rules, training, and safety equipment you will need. Check out the Girl Scout Safety Activity Checkpoints for your chosen activity. What is required for you to participate in that activity as a Girl Scout?
